What is Therapy?

Therapy comes in various forms, such as behavior-focused approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as humanistic approaches like client-centered therapy, Gestalt therapy, and existential therapy. The effectiveness of different therapies can vary, and the choice of therapy will depend on the direction you and your therapist decide to take together.
The decision to seek treatment is entirely up to you. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, depressed or out of control, it might be worth considering.

We accept payments via credit/debit cards.
What is the cost?
Sessions fee range from $175 to $225 , sliding scale rates available based on need.

Please be aware this practice has a cancellation and no-show policy in place. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancelling appointments; otherwise, you may be automatically invoiced for the full session.
Are online therapy sessions as effective as in-person sessions?
Studies indicate that online therapy can be effective, depending on the strength of the therapeutic relationship and your level of commitment.

What do I share in therapy?
You decide what to discuss in therapy. Your therapist encourages open communication at your pace.
What happens if I miss my appointment or Cancel?
Please be aware this practice has a cancellation and no show policy in place. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancelling appointments otherwise you may be automatically invoiced for the full session.
How often should sessions be scheduled?
Therapy is not one size fits all and therefore the response may vary depending on how deep the client desires to explore and the number of issues they wish to address. Clients are however encouraged to begin with weekly sessions if possible to ensure a solid therapeutic relationship is established.
Are you seeing the therapist in person?
Brighter Tomorrow Counselling Services operates solely as a virtual private practice. While we do not offer face-to-face sessions, we recognize that some clients prefer face-to-face sessions. If you’re looking for face-to-face sessions, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you in finding the right provider.
Do I Need Therapy?

Do you offer free consultation?
Yes, we offer a free initial consultation to assist you find the right fit. We encourage you to explore your options and choose a therapist who feels right for you.
Is It Covered Through Insurance?
Some insurance plans offer full coverage for psychotherapy, while others have limits. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm the details of your coverage and to ensure that Registered Psychotherapy is included.
Clients pay for sessions upfront and receive a receipt, which can be submitted to their insurance company for reimbursement.
For eligible immigrant and refugee clients, psychotherapy services are also covered through the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)
