Aayesha Ahmed

Aayesha Ahmed is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca University and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Mohawk College. With over 8 years of experience in the Education field, she is passionate about fostering relationships and creating inclusive communities.

Aayesha brings a person-centred approach, with a focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. She also approaches her practice with a focus on a mindfulness approach and interventions. As a second-generation Canadian with a Pakistani background, she understands the impact culture has on an individual and their experiences. She uses a cultural lens in her counselling approach. Aayesha speaks Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi along with English and is able to offer counselling in the language that works best for the client.
